Project Name: Transition Stories
Time Commitment: 2 hours
Project Explanation: Share your transition story with SAVI to help us better serve transitioning service-members. We will ask you general information about your transition (your branch of service, duty station, etc). We will also ask open-ended questions about your transition process, including your reason for leaving the military, and to provide an overview of your experience transitioning to civilian life.
Characteristics of our Ideal Volunteer: Transitioned within the past 2 years from any branch of service; Currently employed/retired/entrepreneur/student; Ability to put transition experience into digestible bits of information.
Time Commitment: 2 hours

Project Explanation: SAVI wants to learn about the questions that came up during your personal transition journey. What questions were you able to find answers to? What questions do you wish you had the answer to?

Time Commitment: 1.5 hours

Time Commitment: 3 hours
Project Explanation: SAVI is looking for someone to help us develop our Chatbot service. By utilizing the National Resource Directory as a guide, you will list common questions and keywords that help people identify what their benefits are and how they can be used. The questions will relate to general transition, entrepreneurs, students, job-seekers, and retirees.
Characteristics of our Ideal Volunteer: Detail-oriented; Ability to work well independently; Experience developing FAQ or training materials is a plus.
Time Commitment: 3 hours
Project Explanation: SAVI is looking for someone to help us develop our Chatbot service. By utilizing the National Resource Directory as a guide, you will list common questions and keywords that help people identify what their benefits are and how they can be used. The questions will relate to general transition, entrepreneurs, students, job-seekers, and retirees.

Project Name: Military Family Support
Time Commitment: 2 hours
Project Explanation: SAVI is looking for someone to help us grow our offerings to military families. In this volunteer role, you will assist us in developing ideas on how we can assist military family members during the transition process. You will also be instrumental in helping us identify potential ambassadors in the military family community to create a buzz about the Community Leader Benefits Certification.
Characteristics of our Ideal Volunteer: Ability to communicate with military families with professionalism; General knowledge of the military family dynamic; Digital Marketing experience is a plus.
Time Commitment: 2 hours

Time Commitment: Maximum of 3 hours per month
Project Explanation: SAVI is looking for someone to help us assist transitioning veterans by providing thorough reviews of their LinkedIn profiles. In this volunteer role, you will assist us in reviewing Veteran LinkedIn profiles by their request, and completing a provided template with your suggestions for improvement. You will also be instrumental in helping us identify potential ways to empower Veterans on the platform. Free training will be provided prior to your first review!
Characteristics of our Ideal Volunteer: Ability to communicate with Veterans with professionalism; General knowledge of the military dynamic; Personal experience transitioning to civilian life; copy-editing experience is a plus.
Time Commitment: Maximum of 3 hours per month

This requires research of VA regulations, supporting M21-1 references and recent updates/changes.
Characteristics of our Ideal Volunteer: At least 4 years of experience as a Veteran Service Representative (VSR), Rating Veteran Service Representative (RVSR) or Quality Review Specialist (QRS) Veterans Benefits Administration; Detail-oriented; Ability to work well independently; Experience developing internal training materials is a plus.
Time Commitment: 2 hours
